Shards are one of the rewards available in the Season Pass.
There are several types of Shards, each with a different function.
All Shards are stored in the Shards Inventory, which is shared across the lobby account. They may be used on any game world participating in the Season Pass.
Shards are generally consumed when used. However, some Shards provide benefits that last for a period of time or can be used for multiple actions.
Duals have their own Shards Inventory. They cannot use the avatar owner’s Shards. They need to play on their own avatars to progress in the Season Pass and obtain Shards.
Shards in this group reduce ongoing construction time in one village. You select the target village when using the Shard. It does not need to be the currently active village.
There are several variants of this Shard, each reducing construction time by a different amount. The reduction is adjusted according to the game world speed: the base time is divided by the speed multiplier, just like regular construction time. The exact values are:

These Shards affect only the construction and upgrading of buildings and resource fields. They do not affect building demolition, unit improvements in the Smithy, research in the Academy, or the construction and upgrading of Watchtowers.
They also cannot be used for the construction or upgrading of the Residence, Palace, or Command Center, nor can they be used in Wonder of the World villages.
You can use a Shard even if the remaining construction time is shorter than the reduction it provides. Any excess reduction is lost.
Video Skip Shards let you use features that would normally require watching a video without having to watch it. For example, you can use one to start a building upgrade with a 25% time reduction, increase the difficulty of an adventure, or reroll a Random Mission in the Season Pass.
Variants are available for skipping 1, 3, 5, 10, or 20 videos.
After activation, the Shard is automatically used for the next video or videos you would otherwise need to watch until all skips have been used. Videos are skipped even for duals and sitters. You can activate another Video Skip Shard only after the current one has been fully used.
Travian Plus Shards activate or extend Travian Plus on the avatar. The duration depends on the Shard and the game world’s speed.
