Natars are the NPC faction in Travian: Legends. They control important game mechanics such as artefact villages, World Wonder villages, and some villages that appear later during the round.
You can recognize them by the account name “Natars”. Open the profile to see their listed villages.
Why can’t I find Natars in the first days?
Natar villages appear later, when deleted player capitals are converted into Natar villages.
On a 1x gameworld, there will be no attackable Natar villages during the first 3 days. This means the Daily Quest for attacking or raiding a Natarian village may not be possible yet. This is a normal behaviour.
Some special Natar villages, such as World Wonder villages, are part of the endgame and are locked until later game. World Wonder villages are Natar villages, and players win by conquering one and building the World Wonder to level 100.
Natar troops
Natar troops have fixed stats. They do not use Smithy upgrades like player tribes do.
This means their attack and defense values stay the same, no matter when the village appeared.
Regarding weekly statistics, killing Natar troops gives PvE points instead, not normal attack or defense points.
Do Natars attack players?
Most Natar villages are defensive. Outside special mechanics, they do not raid you, conquer you, or counterattack your normal village or oasis.
The main exceptions are:
The grey central area. If you settle in the central grey zone, Natars will send up to 14 strong waves against the new village. These attacks are meant to destroy buildings and can zero the village if you are not prepared.
Furthermore, the Natars aggressively attacks player-built World Wonders during the endgame phase. The Natars send heavy raid waves every time the World Wonder is upgraded by 5 levels (e.g., at level 5, 10, 15... up to 95). After level 95, they attack upon the completion of every single level.
Natars and artefacts
Artefacts spawn in special Natar villages during the mid-game. While Natars own them, artefacts are inactive and do not give bonuses to Natars. These villages are usually heavily defended, so scout and prepare before attacking.
You can check game progress in Statistics > General. Once artefacts appear, you can also locate them through the Treasury.
Natar villages holding artefacts usually have the artefact name as village name instead of a normal coordinate-style Natar name (i.e. Natars -71|24).
Can I conquer Natar villages?
Yes, Natar villages can be conquered like player villages, with the exception of the Natar’s capital, and the World Wonder villages before they are unlocked in the later game. As with other villages in the game, you need to reduce loyalty to 0% with your tribe’s administrator unit, such as a Senator, Chief, Chieftain, Logades, Nomarch, or Ephor.
Always scout first. Some Natar villages have little defense, while others can be very strong.
After conquest, normal conquest rules apply. If the conquered village has a smaller population, all buildings lose 1 level.
Useful notes
A scout-only attack on an independent Natar village can count for the Daily Quest once such a village exists.
Artefact and Construction Plan capture are special elements that Natars hold in their villages. However, their village is still possible to be captured with the standard mechanics after removing these special elements.
