# Automatic resource-sharing limits

Automatic resource-sharing limits

Travian: Legends includes a **pushing protection system** to ensure fair play and balanced gameplay. This system automatically limits how many **resources** can be shared between players — whether by sending, trading, or raiding — so no one gains an unfair advantage. You don’t need to calculate anything manually. The limits are fully **automated** and adjust based on your in-game situation.

### How the System Works

The limits are influenced by:

- The **relationship** between two players (connection type)

- The **hourly production** of the sender

- The **resource balance** between the players over the last 7 days

Both **merchant transfers** and **raids** are affected.

### Connection Types

There are three connection types that define how strict the limits are:

### How Limits Are Calculated

**Hourly Production:**
Includes total production of lumber, clay, iron, and crop (minus population consumption), plus the **average hourly raid income** from the past 7 days (if positive).

**Resource Balance:**
The system tracks all resources exchanged in the last 7 days, including:

-   Direct merchant sends

- Marketplace trades and trade routes

- Crop eaten by troops stationed in another player’s village (counted as if sent).

* * *

### Sending Resources

When sending resources, the system checks whether the new balance would exceed your limit:

- If yes, an **error message** will appear explaining why.

- Players can send **more** to unrelated players (Type 1) and **less** to sitters or shared connections (Type 2–3).

- Sending to larger players (higher population) is more restricted.

The **higher your own production**, the **higher your allowed sending capacity**.

* * *

### Marketplace Offers

- Affected by the same system as direct sending.

- **Type 1 connections** (unrelated players) can trade freely, unless the trade history becomes heavily one-sided.

* * *

### New and Small Players

- Players **under 200 population** or **in beginner’s protection** can only **accept 1:1 offers**.

- They cannot send resources directly or create trades that are unfair to themselves.

- Once beginner’s protection ends, they may **return received resources**, but not send more than they got.

* * *

### Artefacts and Wonder of the World (WW)

- **Artefact villages** can be supplied freely **if at least 50% of the shipment is crop**.

    - Crop-only trade routes are allowed.

    - Once construction plans appear, the crop restriction is lifted.

- **WW villages** can be supplied **without any limits** — including all trade routes.

* * *

### Supplying Troops

If you are supporting another player with troops:

- You can send **extra resources** to help feed them, as long as the shipment contains **at least 50% crop**.

- The system allows more additional supply between **unrelated players**, and the amount scales with the **troop upkeep**.

* * *

### Raiding Limits

- **Raiding unrelated players** has **no restrictions**.

-   Limits apply if:

    - The attacker and defender are in the **same confederacy**, or

    - They share a **Type 2** or **Type 3** connection.

When limits apply:

- The system treats it as if the **defender were sending resources** to the attacker.

- If a **Type 3** connection recently sent resources to the defender, the attacker cannot steal any — and will see a message in the battle report explaining why.

A same-IP message does not necessarily indicate a rule violation or account sharing. It can appear if the other player was your sitter within the last 14 days, was in the same alliance within the last 2 days, or if you use a VPN or mobile internet connection. VPN and mobile providers may reuse IPv4 addresses, so another player may have used the same address within the past 14 days.

### Summary

- You don’t need to calculate — the system manages limits automatically.

- Limits vary based on relationship, production, and balance.

- Artefact and WW villages are exceptions.

- Crop-heavy deliveries help feed troops safely.

- Raiding limits prevent indirect resource transfers.
