Some Travian: Legends gameworlds include the Advanced Start feature, which lets players skip the slow early economy phase and jump straight into faster development and expansion. This guide explains how the feature works, what restrictions apply, and how to make the best choices when settling your early villages.
When joining a gameworld with Advanced Start:
Your first village starts with all resource fields at level 5.
You begin with six settlers and enough Culture Points (CP) to settle two additional villages immediately.
You cannot settle 18-, 15-, or 9-croppers as your second or third village.
You receive CP to settle two villages plus 75% of the CP needed for your fourth village (the CP bar is filled to ¾).
Any villages beyond the fourth are settled normally with resource fields at level 0.
You are given 75% of the Culture Points required for the fourth village. The exact numbers vary by game speed.
Example (shown for all speeds):
You can settle your second and third villages immediately.
Once you produce the remaining 25% CP, you can settle your fourth village, including a cropper.
This allows you to reach critical infrastructure faster than usual in early game.
Nothing changes.
Your first two settled villages will still have resource fields at level 5, and you still cannot settle 18-, 15-, or 9-croppers as second or third villages.
Yes.
In this case, you may settle your fourth village (including croppers), and it will have all fields at level 5.
You generally have three strong options. Choose based on your experience level and gameworld conditions.
Good for newer players and safe areas.
Pros:
Villages develop faster
Early passive CP income
Lower risk of bouncing settlers
Faster progression toward the fourth village
Cons:
If your spawn area becomes hostile, you risk losing these villages
Your future capital might not be surrounded by early villages
Choose the area where you plan your long-term base.
Pros:
Two resource villages near your future capital
Strong centralized economy
Cons:
Higher chance of another player settling before you
Possible early conflict over high-quality croppers
Ideal for new players or risk-averse strategies.
A 7-cropper with 150% oasis bonus can sometimes match or exceed a 9-cropper with 75%.
Pros:
Your capital begins at resource fields level 5
Strong, fast development
A resource village can also be settled near it
Cons:
Only possible if you choose a 7-cropper as your capital
Focus on passive culture point development. Use efficient CP buildings early (e.g., Main Building, Warehouse, Granary, Wall, Barracks, Academy, Townhall, Workshop, Marketplace, Embassy, Crannies).
Run celebrations once you produce around:
150 CP per village on speed worlds
200+ CP per village on x1 worlds
Do not upgrade your Residence above level 1 in the spawn village early; its settlement slots are already used.
If you pick your capital early (Option 3), follow standard capital development guides afterward.
