Shards are special rewards from the Season Pass. Each type of Shard gives you a different benefit, such as reducing building time, skipping a video, or activating Travian Plus.
Your Shards are stored in the Shards Inventory and are tied to your lobby account.
This means you can use them on game worlds that participate in a Season Pass.
You can find all collected Shards in the Shards Inventory.
Most Shards are consumed when you use them. Some Shards, however, stay active for a period of time or can be used for several actions.

Duals have their own Shards Inventory and cannot use the avatar owner’s Shards.
If a dual wants to earn and use Shards, they need to progress in the Season Pass on their own avatar.
Building Time Reduction Shards reduce the remaining construction time of a building or resource field.
When you use one, you choose the village where you want to apply it. The village does not need to be the one you currently have open.
You can use them for:
Buildings
Building upgrades
Resource fields
Resource field upgrades
You cannot use them for:
Building demolition
Smithy unit improvements
Academy research
Watchtower construction or upgrades
Residence construction or upgrades
Palace construction or upgrades
Command Center construction or upgrades
Wonder of the World villages
You can still use it, but any unused reduction is lost.
For example, if a Shard reduces 30 minutes and your construction has only 10 minutes left, the remaining 20 minutes are not saved for later.
Yes.
The reduction becomes shorter on faster game worlds, just like normal construction time.

Video Skip Shards let you use a feature without watching the video that would normally be required.
For example, they can be used when you:
start a building upgrade with a 25% time reduction
increase the difficulty of an adventure
reroll a Random Mission in the Season Pass
Video Skip Shards are available with:
1 skip
3 skips
5 skips
10 skips
20 skips
After you activate one, it is automatically used the next time you would need to watch a video.
If the Shard contains several skips, they remain active until all of them have been used.
You cannot activate another Video Skip Shard until the current one is fully used.
The skips also apply when a dual or sitter performs the action.
Travian Plus Shards activate or extend Travian Plus on your avatar.
The duration depends on the Shard and the speed of the game world.
