An oasis is a special tile on the map that can be conquered by your hero and annexed to a nearby village, granting that village a permanent resource production bonus. Each village can control up to three oases, making them one of the most important long-term investments in the game.
At the beginning of the game, oases are occupied by wild animals and do not produce any resources. Resource production only starts once Beginner Protection ends. You can check the number of animals in an oasis without scouting by hovering over it or clicking it on the map. Defeating the animals rewards your hero with a bounty. The hero does not need to survive the attack for this reward to be granted. Oases on the map also show:

Whether they are free or already conquered by another player
Each resource type has up to three kinds of oases:
Type 1: Produces only one resource at +25% (e.g., +25% lumber, clay, iron, or crop).
Type 2: Produces one resource at +25% plus an additional +25% crop.
Type 3: Produces only one resource at +50%. Exclusive to the grey Natarian area — the zone around the World Wonder in the centre of the map, controlled by the Natar NPC faction. Available for lumber, clay, and iron only; crop oases do not have a Type 3.
When you conquer an oasis, it grants a production bonus to the village your hero conquered it from. This bonus applies only to that village's base production.
Production values below are at 1x game speed, when the oasis is not occupied.

* Type 3 oases are only found in the grey Natarian area near the World Wonder. They cannot be conquered by regular villages — only villages within 3 tiles of a Type 3 oasis can attempt to annex them.
To conquer an oasis, it must be within 3 tiles of your village. Your Hero's Mansion must be at the required level to hold the number of oases you want:
Hero's Mansion Level 10 → 1 oasis
Hero's Mansion Level 15 → 2 oases
Hero's Mansion Level 20 → 3 oases
Your hero must attack the oasis repeatedly until it is annexed by the village they attacked from. Each attack reduces the oasis's loyalty. When loyalty reaches 0%, the oasis is conquered.

Destroy their defense
Attack with your hero the required number of times (see table below)
The number of attacks needed depends on how many oases the defender currently owns. Each hero attack reduces loyalty by a fixed percentage — and that percentage is higher when the defender owns more oases. This means taking one oasis from a player who owns three requires only a single attack, while taking the last oasis from a player who owns only one requires three attacks.
Defender owns… | Hero attacks needed |
3 oases | 1 attack |
2 oases | 2 attacks |
1 oasis | 3 attacks |
Raiding a player-owned oasis allows your troops to steal up to 10% of the resources stored in that oasis. Oasis resources regenerate fully over 10 minutes.
If you raid the same oasis again before it has fully regenerated (e.g., 7 minutes later), you only take the portion that has regenerated so far — in this example, 7%. Raiding your own oasis results in 0 net gain, because the resources stored there were produced by your own village and are simply being moved back to it.
Oasis loyalty is a value between 0% and 100% that reflects how firmly an oasis is held. When your hero attacks an oasis, its loyalty drops. When loyalty reaches 0%, the oasis is conquered by your village.
After being conquered, an oasis's loyalty starts regenerating automatically at 1% every 30 minutes. Players cannot influence this rate. A freshly conquered oasis with low loyalty can be retaken quickly — allow time for loyalty to rebuild if you are in a contested area.
To release an oasis you own:
Open the Hero's Mansion
Click the red cross next to the oasis
A timer will begin, and the oasis is released after the countdown finishes
Release time:
~2 hours on 3x speed
~6 hours on 1x speed
