# Walls and Rams

Walls and Rams

Building a wall helps protect your village from enemy attacks. Higher wall levels give your defending troops a stronger defensive bonus. Each tribe has its own wall type, with different strengths and durability.

* * *

## **Tribal Walls**

### **Teutonic Earthen Wall**

- Low defensive bonus

- Extremely hard to destroy

### **Gaulic Palisade**

- Average defensive bonus

- Average durability against rams

### **Roman City Wall**

- Highest defensive bonus

- Very easy to destroy

### **Egyptian Stone Wall**

- Defensive bonus similar to the Gaul Palisade

- Much higher durability

### **Hun Makeshift Wall**

- Low defensive bonus (worse than Teutons)

- Very low durability (similar to Romans)

### **Spartan Defensive Wall**

- Defensive bonus similar to the Teuton wall

- Durability comparable to the Gaul Palisade

### **Viking Barricade**

- Low defensive bonus (similar to Huns)

- Durability between Gaul Palisade and Egyptian Stone Wall

## **Rams**

Rams are heavy support units used to destroy enemy walls. This increases the attacking army’s chance of breaking through a village’s fortifications.

When defending troops are absent, rams destroy walls almost as quickly as catapults destroy buildings. Walls provide two important defensive effects:

1. **Defensive points per level**

2. **A percentage-based defensive bonus** for defending troops

Higher durability makes a wall more difficult for rams to destroy.

The file includes a table listing each wall’s **base defensive points**, **durability**, and **defensive bonus per level**. These values reflect how much each wall type improves village defence and how resistant they are to rams.

The defensive bonus increases multiplicatively. For example, the Roman City Wall:

- Level 1: 3% bonus

- Level 10: ~34.4% bonus (1.03¹⁰), not just 30%

Rams’ effectiveness increases with their **upgrade level**, just like catapults.
