When you start Travian: Legends, your village gets beginner's protection. Other players can't attack you, so you have time to learn the game, build up resources and prepare your defence.
While you're protected, other players can't send troops to you: no attacks, raids, scouting or reinforcements. You can't send troops to other players either.
You can still send troops to targets that aren't players:
Unoccupied oases: you can raid them to kill the animals and earn bounties.
Natar villages: you can attack, raid and scout them. Small Natar villages can appear right next to new players at the start of a game world.
If you try to scout another player, the game blocks it with the message "You cannot attack other players while your beginner's protection is active". This includes scouting.
Note: killing Natar troops gives PvE points, not attack points, so it won't help you climb the attacker ranking.
Beginner's protection only stops other players. It doesn't stop animals from coming back to oases once the game world's starting nature protection is over, and it doesn't protect troops you send out. Check an oasis right before you raid it, because animals can come back within minutes.
You can't send resources to other players, but you can receive them from players who are no longer protected.
Under 200 population, you can only accept marketplace offers that are 1:1 or better for you.
You can still post worse offers. Nobody can accept them, so some players use them as extra storage.
You can't end beginner's protection early.
The length depends on the game world's speed. The second number is an optional extension you can choose when your protection is about to end.
Speed | Protection | Optional extension |
|---|---|---|
x1 | 5 days | +3 days |
x2 | 3 days | +3 days |
x3 | 3 days | +3 days |
x5 | 2 days | +2 days |
x10 | 1 day | +1 day |
When your protection is about to end, a message in the infobox offers the extension.
You can extend it once.
Once your protection has ended, you can't get it back.
Tip: use your protection to grow your economy, finish tasks, farm oases and join an alliance. Then you'll be ready to defend yourself when it ends.
