Building a wall is one of the most effective ways to protect your village from enemy attacks. Each tribe has its own wall type, offering a unique balance between defence strength and durability. The higher the wall level, the greater the defensive bonus it provides to your troops.
Tribal Wall Types
Tribe | Wall Type | Description |
---|---|---|
Teutons | Earthen Wall | Offers a low defence bonus, but is very durable and hard to destroy. |
Gauls | Palisade | Balanced option with moderate defence and average durability. |
Romans | City Wall | Grants the highest defensive bonus, but is easy to destroy. |
Egyptians | Stone Wall | Similar defence to the Gaulish Palisade, but significantly more durable. |
Huns | Makeshift Wall | Provides a low defence bonus, with durability similar to the Roman City Wall. |
Spartans | Defensive Wall | Offers defence like the Teutonic Earthen Wall, with durability similar to the Palisade. |
Vikings | Barricade | A small defence bonus like the Hun wall, but medium durability, between Palisade and Stone Wall. |
Rams
Rams are siege weapons designed to destroy enemy walls, making it easier for your troops to break through fortifications.
When there is no defence, rams demolish walls almost as efficiently as catapults destroy buildings.
If defenders are present, the wall provides a strong defensive bonus in addition to its durability.
Durability determines how resistant a wall is to ram attacks — the higher it is, the harder it is to destroy.
Rams’ destructive power increases with upgrades in the Smithy, just like catapults.
Wall Stats by Tribe
The table below shows each wall’s base durability and defensive bonus per level (from page 2 of the source document):
Name | Base Durability | Defensive Bonus per Level |
---|---|---|
Teutonic Earthen Wall | 5 | 2% |
Gaulic Palisade | 2 | 2.5% |
Roman City Wall | 1 | 3% |
Egyptian Stone Wall | 4 | 2.5% |
Hun Makeshift Wall | 1 | 1.5% |
Spartan Defensive Wall | 2 | 2% |
Viking Barricade | 3 | 1.5% |
Bonus scaling:
Each new level multiplies the previous bonus, rather than adding it flatly.
For example, a Roman City Wall gives 3% at level 1, but around 34.4% at level 10 (1.03¹⁰), not 30%.
Tips
Always upgrade your wall if you expect frequent attacks — even a few levels can make a huge difference.
Support your wall with defensive troops for maximum effectiveness.
When attacking, send enough Rams to ensure the wall is destroyed; otherwise, defenders get a major advantage.
Use the Combat Simulator in the Rally Point to estimate how many Rams are needed.
