Why settle a new village?
Every player begins Travian: Legends with one village. Upgrading buildings and raiding nearby oases or inactive neighbors helps you grow early on — but true progress starts when you expand.
Settling new villages allows you to:
Rapidly increase resource production,
Strengthen control over a strategic area with your alliance, and
Secure special map spots, such as 9-crop or 15-crop villages (and in some special gameworlds even 18-crop).
Requirements to settle a new village
Before sending your settlers, make sure you have all of the following:
Requirement | How to Obtain |
---|---|
Culture Points (CP) | Earned automatically by constructing and upgrading buildings. |
3 Settlers | Trained in a Residence, Palace, or Command Center with an available expansion slot. |
Resources | 750 Wood, Clay, Iron, and Crop. |

How to settle
Open the map and find your desired location.
Select the tile and click “Settle new village”.
Your settlers will travel to the location.
If the spot is unoccupied, they’ll found your new village upon arrival.
If another player reaches it first, your settlers will return home.
Settlers can be lost if they are attacked while travelling, so avoid sending them through active war zones when possible.
Team coordination
Always coordinate with your alliance before expanding.
This is crucial on regional map servers, where every village contributes to regional control and territorial bonuses.

Alternative: Conquering instead of settling
Instead of founding a new village, you can conquer one from another player or the Natars.
This can be faster, but also much more difficult — it requires careful preparation, multiple attack waves, and the right infrastructure.
