Conquering Villages

What does conquering a village mean?

Conquering lets you take control of another player’s village — but it’s not as simple as attacking.
To succeed, you’ll need to lower the village’s loyalty to 0% using your Administrator(s).

Requirements to conquer a village

Before attacking, make sure:

  • The target village has no active administration building (Residence, Palace, or Command Center).

If it still exists, destroy it in the same attack.

  • The target is not a capital.

  • The target is not the player’s only village.

  • You have enough Culture Points to own another village (unless conquering your own).

  • You attack with normal attacks — not raids.

  • Your Administrator(s) survive the attack.

You can view your current Culture Points in the Administration Building.

Getting an Administrator

Each tribe has its own Administrator, unlocked by meeting specific requirements:

TribeAdministratorSpecial FeatureLoyalty Reduction
RomansSenatorVery persuasive20–30%
TeutonsChiefCheap to train20–25%
GaulsChieftain25% faster20–25%
HunsLogadesSurprise advantage15–30%
EgyptiansNomarchMost expensive20–25%
SpartansEphorEven cheaper than Chief20–25%

To train an Administrator:

  1. Build an Academy to level 20 and research your tribe’s Administrator.

  2. Build a Residence, Palace, or Command Center to the correct level:

    • Residence: level 10 or 20

    • Palace/Command Center: levels 10, 15, and 20

  3. Have at least one free expansion slot in the same village.

Once these conditions are met, you can train your Administrator in that building.

How to conquer step-by-step

  1. Send your first attack wave (“cleaner”) to destroy defending troops.

  2. Use catapults in a normal attack to destroy the administration building.

  3. Send your Administrator(s) in the following wave(s) — also as normal attacks.

  4. Repeat as needed until loyalty drops to 0%.

Avoid sending everything in one wave — timing multiple attacks is key.
The first player whose attacks land on the same second will strike first.

After conquest

When loyalty reaches 0%, the Administrator disappears, and the accompanying troops stay as defenders.
Here’s what else happens:

  • All troops belonging to that village (even reinforcing or moving ones) disappear.

  • The wall and all tribe-specific buildings (e.g., Trapper, Brewery, Horse Drinking Trough) are destroyed.

  • Academy research and Smithy upgrades are reset.

  • Any connected oases become independent again.

  • Reinforcements from outside alliances/confederacies are sent back one hour after conquest (or immediately if they arrive later).

On some Special Servers, tribe-specific buildings remain intact if the tribe does not change after conquest.

After conquering your own village

If you conquer one of your own villages:

  • No buildings or building levels disappear.

  • The wall, research, and troops are still removed.

Tips

  • Rebuild your administration building quickly to increase loyalty again.

    • Loyalty rises by ⅔ of the building’s level per hour (e.g., level 6 → +4 points/hour).

  • You can also increase loyalty using Tablets of Law (Hero item).

  • Villages founded or conquered by the newly conquered one will continue occupying its expansion slots.
