Alliance Bonuses

Alliance members can donate resources to unlock powerful bonuses that benefit everyone in the alliance.
There are four types of bonuses, each with five unlockable levels that gradually increase in strength.


Bonus Types

RecruitmentIncreases troop training speed in all troop-producing buildings.
PhilosophyIncreases Culture Point (CP) generation from buildings and hero helmets. (Town Hall celebrations are not affected, except in special servers.)
MetallurgyIncreases attack and defense strength of troops, stacking on top of Smithy upgrades.
CommerceIncreases merchant capacity (and speed in some special servers).

Exceptions in Special Servers

On Annual Special 2024 (Northern Legends), two bonuses are improved:

  • Philosophy bonus also affects Town Hall celebrations and increases their CP limit.

  • Commerce bonus additionally increases merchant speed.

Each bonus type has five levels.

Unlocking Bonuses

Each bonus level requires resource donations from alliance members.
All four bonuses have identical requirements and upgrade times.

Notes:

  • Higher levels require more resources and time.

  • You can triple your donation using 3 Gold, but cannot exceed your daily donation limit.

  • Resources of any type can be donated — only the total value counts.

  • New donations can’t be made while the next level is being unlocked.


Important Notes

  • Daily Quests: Donating to alliance bonuses counts as part of your daily quest.
    Once all bonuses are active, the related daily quest will complete automatically each day.

  • Recruitment Bonus: Stacks with hero effects like the Helmet of the Mercenary.

  • Philosophy Bonus: Affects CP from buildings and hero helmets, but not from artworks, Town Hall celebrations, or quests.


Exception in Northern Legends

In Northern Legends, the Philosophy Bonus also affects:

  • Town Hall celebrations

  • Artworks

  • Increases the maximum CP limit gained from both

Additionally:

  • Metallurgy Bonus is multiplied by Smithy effects.

  • Commerce Bonus is multiplied by Trade Office effects.

Example:
A Gaul merchant has a base capacity of 750.
With level 4 bonus (120%) and level 20 Trade Office (400%):
→ 750 × 2.2 × 5 = 8,250 capacity per merchant


Bonus Availability for New Members

When a player joins an alliance, bonuses become active for them after a short delay depending on the current level:

Tips

  • Focus donations on one bonus at a time for faster progress.

  • Coordinate alliance contributions — even small daily donations add up quickly.

  • Use Gold donations strategically when pushing for level unlocks before major wars or expansions.

  • Keep in mind that bonuses apply globally — once unlocked, every member benefits automatically.
