Your hero in Travian: Legends can equip items to become stronger and provide bonuses to troops that accompany them in battle. Equipped items can affect the hero alone, or both the hero and nearby troops — but only if the troops come from the same village as the hero.
Hero Equipment Categories
Hero equipment is divided into four main categories.
Each type has unique effects that can boost your hero’s abilities or help your troops.
| Category | Description | More Information |
|---|---|---|
| Left-Hand Items | Tools, banners, standards, and pennants that boost specific bonuses like resource gain or movement speed. | Hero Left-Hand Items |
| Right-Hand Items | Weapons that increase your hero’s fighting strength and, in some cases, improve troop performance. | Hero Right-Hand Items |
| Armour | Includes helmets, chest armour, and boots that improve defense, recovery speed, or training bonuses. | Hero Armour (Helmets, Chest Armour, Boots) |
| Consumables | One-time use items like bandages or ointments that heal, restore, or grant immediate benefits. | Hero Consumable Items |
Note:
Hero item effects apply only to the hero or to troops that are attacking or defending alongside them.
They do not affect troops that are not currently accompanied by the hero.
Mounts
Mounts are special hero equipment that increase movement speed.
They affect only the hero’s speed, not the speed of accompanying troops — the hero still travels at the pace of the slowest unit in the army.
There are three tiers of mounts, each providing a progressively faster travel speed.
Tier 1 – Gelding

Tips
The mount’s speed bonus only matters when the hero travels alone or with troops that are already fast.
Troop speed always overrides hero speed — if slower troops are included, the army moves at their speed.
Mounts are ideal for scouting, delivering messages, or reinforcing quickly when the hero travels solo.
