Travian offers you the possibility to interact with your fellow players in four different ways:
You can attack other players provided they are not in beginner’s protection, on vacation or banned.
To attack someone, you need troops and a target. A target can be chosen via the map, the statistics or by entering the information of the village you want to attack via the rally point.
The difference between a normal attack and a raid is the fact that a normal battle will be fought until one of the armies is dead. Raids will only do partial damage to both armies, for example, catapults will not fire, chiefs will not lower loyalty, rams will not hit the wall. In almost every case with a raid, the attacker will have at least 1 surviving soldier.
You can reinforce other players in your alliance or confed provided they are not in beginner’s protection, on vacation or banned.
To reinforce someone, you need troops and a target. A target can be chosen via the map, the statistics or by entering the information of the village you want to reinforce via the Rally Point.
Troops that have been sent to reinforce another village will stay there until they die in battle, you withdraw them, or the owner sends them back. Their upkeep must be paid by the village owner.
The reinforcements will also be sent back automatically if the players are no longer in the same alliance or confederacy. This may happen with a delay.
The marketplace offers you the possibility to send resources to other players if there are any in the current village.
You can choose between accepting an existing offer, creating an offer yourself or simply sending resources to another village, (please note while under beginner’s protection you can only send resources manually to a player within same alliance/confederacy). You do not need a marketplace to receive resources, but you are unable to see whether you have incoming resources without one.
Marketplace offers can be accepted from players outside alliance/confederacy
Just enter the nickname of another player as the recipient, a topic, and the content of the message (mind the game rules!). Afterwards, just click "send" and the message will be sent to the other player. If you have the right to do so, you can even send messages to your whole alliance by simply entering [ally] as the recipient (not [your-alliance-tag]).
Messages can also send to [def] or [off] if they have that special role in the alliance permissions list (set by leaders).
In case you receive a spam message you can directly report it to the Rule Enforcement Team by clicking on the "report as spam" button (you will find it beside the delete button if you have the message open).
