1) How battle XP works
XP = enemy crop consumption destroyed. Each supply point of a killed unit grants 1 XP to the attacker’s hero.
Defense splits by crop, not just strength. When multiple defenders send heroes, the XP share goes to the defending heroes proportional to the crop consumption of the army accompanying each hero (not purely by hero strength).
Example outcome: equal defensive values can still give more XP to the defender whose army eats more crop.
2) Other XP sources (quick wins)
Adventures & Daily Quests
Village tasks
Scrolls (+10 XP on use)
Helmets (e.g., Helmet of Awareness adds % XP gain; it multiplies whatever XP you’d get).
3) Oasis farming = steady XP + resources
Sending your hero to unoccupied oases is one of the best XP grinds:
Your hero gets 1 XP per Nature unit’s crop consumption and resources per kill (e.g., Rat/Spider = 40 of each, Elephant = 200 of each).
You can send the hero alone or with troops; all XP goes to the hero from this source.
Recommended kit for speed & safety:
Horse + Small Spurs (faster trips)
Small Map (faster returns)
Right-hand weapon (combat strength)
Helmet of Awareness (more XP)
Light Scale Armor + Ointments (survivability and heal after the fight)
Bandages if using expensive cav escorts
Optional 1 Cage as insurance if an oasis rolls a tough spawn (prevents battle and nets a pet).
4) Attribute points: what to level and when
Early game default: put most points into Resource Production. Add a few Strength so adventures don’t chunk your HP.
Strength becomes more valuable if you’re actively fighting or oasis-farming.
Off bonus: +0.2% army attack per point (max +20%). Applies only when your hero attacks with the army.
Def bonus: +0.2% army defense per point (max +20%). Applies only when your hero defends with your own troops. (Reinforcements from others don’t get your hero’s bonus.)
Rule of thumb: for large armies, Off/Def bonus can outscale raw Strength; for small skirmishes, Strength is often better. A calculator (based on Kirilloid’s formula) can help check your breakpoint.
5) Low-risk leveling tricks
Level-up heal: If health is low, finish tasks/quests to pop a level—your hero returns to full HP.
Heal timing: Use Ointments after the battle, not before.
Risk control: If an oasis suddenly spikes in strength, equip a cage mid-travel to avoid the fight.
Quick checklist
Farm unoccupied oases regularly for XP + resources.
Wear Helmet of Awareness while grinding.
Early game: Resource Production, then pivot to Strength/Off/Def bonus based on your role.
In defense with multiple heroes, remember: XP splits by crop of each accompanying army.
