When your village is attacked or raided, your goal is to protect your resources.
The Cranny is a special building that hides part of your resources from being stolen.
It’s strongly recommended to build and upgrade at least one Cranny before your Beginner’s Protection ends, especially to cover resources that accumulate overnight.
Cranny Basics
At level 1, a Cranny hides 200 of each resource (or 300 for Gauls).
At level 10, it hides 2,000 of each resource (or 3,000 for Gauls).
After reaching level 10, you can build additional Crannies — there’s no limit to how many your village can have.
Protection Details
The Cranny is invisible to catapults — it can’t be directly targeted.
It can only be destroyed if the attacker selects a random building, and even then, there’s only a chance it will be hit.
Tribe Bonuses
Tribe | Effect |
---|---|
Teutons | When the hero joins a raid, enemy Crannies only hide 80% of their usual capacity. |
Gauls | Can hide 1.5× more resources in each Cranny. |
Additional Notes
Hero Inventory: Resources stored in your hero’s inventory cannot be raided.
Marketplace: Resources listed for trade can still be raided until merchants leave for the transaction.
Hero Item Bonus: The Bag of Plunder increases the amount of loot troops can carry during raids.

✅ Tip: If you often get raided, build multiple Crannies and store excess resources in your hero’s inventory to minimize losses.
