The Harbor is a special building that lets you build and use ships for transporting resources and troops. Ships travel quickly across deep water, making them ideal for movement and trade between coastal villages.
This feature is only available on specific special servers, first introduced in Travian: Shores of War (2023 Annual Special).

Abandoned Shore
You can build a Harbor only in villages that are directly next to a deep water tile.
These locations are marked as “abandoned shore” on the map (instead of “abandoned valley”).
Deep Water
Not all water tiles support ship movement — only dark blue “deep water” tiles count.
Sea tiles and major rivers are deep water.
Some large lakes are deep water.
Small, randomly generated lakes are not and appear lighter blue.
✅ Tip: Click on a water tile in the map view. If it says “Deep water”, ships can use it. Otherwise, they cannot.
Ships
Once your village has a Harbor, you can build ships. There are four types:
1 trade ship type for sending resources.
3 warship types for transporting armies.
Ship Capacity and Limits
The number of ships you can own depends on your Harbor level.
Starts at 1 ship (level 1) and increases up to 210 ships (level 20).
All ship types count toward this limit, no matter where they currently are.
If you lower the Harbor’s level and exceed the limit, existing ships stay but you can’t build new ones until below the cap.
Ships can be manually destroyed in the Harbor.
Ships lost in combat are also destroyed if their entire army is defeated.
Harbor Destruction
If your Harbor is destroyed (via the Main Building or by catapults):
All ships currently in the village are destroyed immediately.
Ships away from the village will survive temporarily, but if you don’t rebuild the Harbor before they return, they are lost as well.
Any ships in production continue to build normally, similar to how unit training works.
✅ Tip: Always rebuild your Harbor quickly if it’s destroyed — otherwise, any returning ships will sink when they can’t dock!
