The Troop Merging feature is available only on special servers (first introduced in Fire and Sand, 2017). It allows players to combine troops from different villages into one large army, forming a single, stronger force. Merged troops behave exactly as if they were trained in their new home village, including receiving Smithy upgrades from that village.
This action can be completed using resources or Gold.
How to Merge Troops
Send the troops you want to merge to the village where they will be merged.
Open the Rally Point in that target village.
In the Overview tab, locate the arriving reinforcement troops.
Click “Incorporate into village.”
Select the number of units to merge. (The total affects the cost.)
Confirm by paying the required resources (you may use NPC trades if necessary) or spending Gold.
Example: Merging Troops in the Rally Point (from page 2 of the original article)
(The image above shows the Rally Point interface at Level 20. In this example, troops from “Minas Tirith” are being merged into “froz’s village.” The merge cost is displayed below the troop selection, with options to pay using resources or Gold.
Restrictions of merging troops)
Restrictions on Merging Troops
Merging is subject to several important limitations:
-
You can only merge troops that belong to the same player.
-
You can only merge troops of the same tribe as the target village.
-
You cannot merge:
-
Settlers
-
Administrators (Senators, Chiefs, etc.)
-
Siege weapons (Catapults or Rams)
-
Heroes (heroes can be relocated instead)
-
-
Academy research is not required — you can merge any unit type regardless of research status in the target village.
-
When using Gold, there is a limit of 50 Gold per village per day for merging.
-
This limit resets daily at the same time as daily quests.
Resource-based merging has no limit.
-
Merging Costs
The total cost of merging depends on the units involved.
-
Resource cost = twice the recruitment cost of the merged units.
-
If you choose to pay with Gold, the conversion rate is:
Total resource cost ÷ 40,000 = Gold cost (rounded up).
Example:
Merging 1,000 Clubswingers
-
Recruitment cost per unit: 95 Wood, 75 Clay, 40 Iron, 40 Crop = 250 total
-
Total cost: 250 × 1,000 × 2 = 500,000 resources
(≈ 190,000 Wood, 150,000 Clay, 80,000 Iron, 80,000 Crop) -
Gold cost: 500,000 ÷ 40,000 = 13 Gold
Tips
Merging is especially useful for consolidating scattered reinforcements into one strong offensive force.
Smithy upgrades from the target village automatically apply, increasing troop effectiveness.
Merging with resources is often more sustainable in the long term, especially for large armies.
