Game versions and speed

Travian: Legends is available in multiple flavours. While the core game mechanics are similar, the differences add up to a completely distinct gameplay experience.

Regions

Gameworlds are grouped into 5 regions:

  • International
  • America
  • Arabics
  • Asia
  • Europe

However, there are no geographical limits, anyone can play in any region they want. Each region has gameworlds of various speed and versions.

All gameworlds in all regions support all available languages.

Speed

Gameworld’s speed affects most of the game features and dramatically alters how the game is played. Currently there are gameworlds with speed ranging from the standard x1 up till the mind-blowingly fast x10 speed.

In general the higher the speed, the faster everything is happening. However, it doesn't affect all game features equally.

Game scenarios

The game is available in multiple variants that differ in features. They are usually available in multiple speeds too.

Regular

The classic experience of Travian: Legends. The game is played on randomized map. At some point during the game round artefacts are released and must be conquered by players for extra bonuses. The end game begins when the construction plans appear. They allow players to build great Wonders of the World. The player who manages to build level 100 of that building, becomes the winner, together with his alliance and confederacy.

Annual Special

Every year in September there is a completely new and unique special version of Travian. The exact features change from year to year. What they have in common is a map of ancient Europe and completely changed winning mechanic. There are no individual artefacts nor Wonder of the World. The artefacts effects can still be gained by controlling regions, which also provide Victory Points. The game ends on a set date, and the winner alliance is based on the accumulated victory points.

Annual Special versions are where our Game Design first introduce various new features. Sometimes (but not always) they are later introduced on the regular gameworlds as well, like Hospital.

New Year Special

To celebrate New Year, we start a set of special gameworlds in January. They usually mix some features available on other gameworlds in the past, in a new, unique way.

Travian Tournament

The most veteran players compete with each other in the prestigious Travian Tournament, to win great prizes. The Tournament consists of 2 phases. First there are qualifications with a few gameworlds, where players compete for a chance to play in the grand Finals.

Number of tribes

The amount of tribes available in game depends on the gameworld too.

  • 5 tribes (Romans, Teutons, Gauls, Huns, Egyptians). International gameworlds usually offer the 5 tribes.
  • 3 tribes (Romans, Teutons, Gauls). The classic option, available on most gameworlds of the remaining 4 regions.
