Artefacts are powerful items created by the ancient Natars. They grant significant advantages to the player who controls them — from reducing crop consumption to increasing troop speed. Each artefact’s effect depends on its type and its size (small, large, or unique). Learn more about the different effects here: Artefact Effects
When and Where Artefacts Appear
On regular servers, artefacts appear during the mid-game phase.
They are placed in special Natar villages across the map and remain inactive until captured.
Every Natar village that holds an artefact contains a Treasury level 20, except for Construction Plans, which are in Treasury level 10.
Artefacts are heavily defended. The defense strength varies between servers and depends on the top 100 offensive armies of that world.
Natars themselves do not benefit from the artefacts — they only become active once a player captures and activates them.
Capturing an Artefact
Before attempting to capture an artefact, make sure you have:
An empty Treasury level 10 (for a small artefact), or
An empty Treasury level 20 (for a large or unique artefact).
This Treasury must be ready before your attack lands on the artefact village.
There are two ways to obtain an artefact:
Capture with your hero:
Your hero can pick up artefacts directly — there is no limit to how many artefacts your hero can collect.Conquer the artefact village:
You can take control of the entire village that holds the artefact.
To successfully capture an artefact:
Send an attack (not a raid) against the village.
Your hero must be part of the attacking army.
Destroy the Treasury in the target village and win the battle.
Important:
Villages containing artefacts cannot disappear from the map, even if completely destroyed. This protection is removed once the artefact is moved or captured.
Artefact Activation Time
After capturing an artefact, it requires an activation period before its effects begin.
This applies even if you captured it from your own village.
| Server Speed | Activation Time |
|---|---|
| 1x | 24 hours |
| 2x | 16 hours |
| 3x | 12 hours |
| 5x | 8 hours |
| 10x | 4 hours |
Once activated, the artefact remains active and does not need reactivation, even if it is later disabled due to other limitations.
Special Servers
On Annual Special servers (such as Path to Pandora), there are no artefacts.
Instead, regions contain ancient powers that grant similar effects.
