Special Servers - Item Crafting

Introduced in Reign of Fire (2025 Annual Special), the Item Crafting system allows you to create, upgrade, and refine hero equipment using new crafting materials.

All equipment items now have a rarity levelcommon, uncommon, rare, or epic.
There’s also a new consumable item called material, available in the same rarity levels.

Equipment still follows quality tiers (as in regular Travian worlds), but materials do not have quality tiers.

Item Rarity Overview

  • Common, Uncommon, and Rare items can be found in hero adventures.

    • Higher rarities are harder to find and appear later in the game.

  • Epic items can only be created through crafting.

Crafting Actions

Refine

Combine two identical items plus one material of the same rarity to create an upgraded version.

  • The result has the same item type and quality, but one rarity level higher.

  • Epic items cannot be refined further.

  • The process always succeeds — no risk of failure.

Smelt

Turn unwanted equipment into materials.

  • Smelting gives one material instantly, or two if you wait for the full smelting time (or use Gold to finish instantly).

  • The material rarity matches the smelted item’s rarity.

  • Smelting time varies depending on server speed.

Forge

Use 3 materials to craft a brand-new random item.

  • You’ll see a preview of possible rarity and quality outcomes before confirming.

  • The higher the rarity of the materials used, the better your chances of producing a higher-rarity item.

  • The item’s type (helmet, boots, armor, etc.) is chosen randomly, with equal chance for each equipment slot.

Reforging

After crafting, you can reforge the item using Gold to try for a different result.

  • The first reforge shows a second random item.

  • You can then:

    • Choose one of the two results, or

    • Reforge one of them again for a new random item.

  • Each reforge costs more Gold.

  • You can always choose between two visible items and must select one final item to keep.

Every reforge produces a new item randomly generated in the same way as the original.

Tip: Save duplicate items for refining or smelting — they’re your key to better gear. Crafting and refining early can give your hero a significant edge in both offense and defense.
